Earth Week

During this event, celebrate the wonders of our planet with the golden lion tamarin family and other zoo critters. Take part in a variety of fun activities as you learn about the WCS mission to save wildlife and wild lands around the world.

Activities occur daily, 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., except where noted.

Discovery Center
Explore and discover animals through interactive games and other kid-friendly activities.

Make animal-themed crafts out of recycled products.

Eco–Wheel Fun
It’s game time! Spin the eco-wheel and learn about nature.

Turn-Me-Off Light Switch Craft
Make a beautiful switch cover that has enough pizzazz to remind you to turn the light off when you leave a room.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Relay
Rummage through a fake trash can to see which items can be bought less, reused, or recycled.

Meet a Keeper
Learn about the red panda and the golden-lion tamarin monkey and meet their zookeepers.
