Animal Encounters

Enjoy a close-up encounter with an alpaca, owl, iguana, a porcupine, or another of our rotating animal guests during weekend sessions hosted by zookeepers and zoo guides. The animals come right out of their exhibits and into the zoo’s theater for everyone to see, and sometimes, to touch!

Sea Lion Feeding

Sea Lion Feedings

At the heart of the park, bark hello to California sea lions and meet their keepers. Whether they’re high-fiving their keepers, showing off their dives, or catching fish on the fly, Stella, Alexis, and Beebe love to impress a crowd. Stop by for one of the three daily feeding demonstrations.

They'll also meet our American kestrels and chatty fish crows.
