Volunteering
The Prospect Park Zoo offers two ways to volunteer. As a seasonal Youth Volunteer (ages 14 – 24), you'll run activities for children and families, answer questions about animals, and direct visitors around the zoo. As a year-round Adult Volunteer (21+) you’ll engage with visitors of all ages, lead tours, assist with educational programs, or have the opportunity to train as a narrator for daily Sea Lion feedings.
Come join our volunteer team! We look forward to welcoming a new group of Adult and Youth Volunteers in 2026. The Adult application will open in fall 2026. The Youth Volunteer application will open in December 2025.
